What is Etsy?

Two important announcements today~

First, congratulations to Beth for winning the $10 off gift card for lia sophia. I will apply it to your order. Thanks for ordering and thanks for reading Spoutin' Out.

Second, remember today is the last day to enter the "Winner's Choice," contest for a Scrabble Tile Necklace from Home Studio on Etsy!

Etsy is an online community of designers creating and selling everything from purses and pillowcases to shoes and children's clothes.

According to the company’s website, Etsy’s vision is to “build a new economy and present a better choice: Buy, Sell, and Live Handmade.” The Etsy website is a community of people passionate about handcrafted items. The website is fun for shoppers to use, offering a multitude of unique ways to search for items to purchase.

It is a great place for sellers with awesome talent and limited funds to sell their stuff. Any seller without any other online store can create an Etsy storefront. The process is fairly straightforward, and the high rank of the Etsy website affords sellers tremendous exposure that may be otherwise unattainable on a limited marketing budget.

For buyers, it's an awesome place to find a great deal and a unique gift while supporting entrepreneurs and local communities.

Watch the video to learn more about Etsy! You'll be glad you did.
